Keith F. Simunic, 75, of Imlay City, passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2021 surrounded by family. He was born June 3, 1945 in East Detroit (now Eastpointe), to Joseph and Edith Simunic.

Keith moved to Washington Township in 1950 where he graduated from Romeo High School in 1964. He worked during his high school years at Hoxey Acres where he met his wife of 52 years, Patricia Reiterman, daughter of Beatrice and Clifford Reiterman. Keith was a master carpenter and owned SS&S carpentry for 25 years until he retired in 2003. Keith was also a master sportsman and loved fishing and hunting. He was a diehard University of Michigan and Detroit sports fan and loved all sports. Keith’s biggest passion was his seven grandchildren and great-grandchild.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Simunic; brothers, Michael (Margaret) Simunic and Douglas (Stephanie) Simunic; children, Lori (Michael) Spies, Jennifer Porter and Matthew (April) Simunic; son-in-law, Dan Mori; grandchildren, Devon Keeley, Hannah Spies, Hunter Spies, Madalynn Carver, Logan Simunic, Landon Simunic and Delaney Simunic; and great-grandchild, Matthew Keeley.

Keith is preceded in death by his daughter, Amy B. Mori; father, Joseph Simunic; mother, Edith Simunic; and brother, William Simunic.

A memorial is being planned by the family for late spring-early summer.
