EARTH DAY REMINDERS. The blooming forsythia and daffodils seem to always be in bloom around Earth Day which is today, Wednesday, April 22. These blooms can be found along Winkler Mill Road in Oakland Township. This year marks the 50th anniversary of Earth Day and the Huron-Clinton Metroparks have organized some online activities to celebrate. From April 19 through April 26 the park system will be holding the #MetroparksEarthDayChallenge! Participants will earn the special commemorative Earth Day Volunteer Patch.
