Government organizations have assembled websites containing reputable information about the coronavirus known as COVID-19, statistics about the spread of the virus and information on how to stay safe and well during the pandemic.

This is the official website for the U.S. government. It contains statistics about the spread of the virus plus expert advice.

State of Michigan:

This site includes daily updates of the spread of the disease both statewide and by county. There is information about official state action plus expert advice.

Macomb County:

This is an excellent resource for local information about the virus and its impact spanning all levels of county government. There is a dashboard that gives a breakdown of the spread of the disease locally by community and zip code.

Oakland County:

This website gives a breakdown of resources available to deal with the spread of the virus including maps by zip code.

The Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) is an independent global health research center at the University of Washington. The IHME’s timeline models projecting the spread of COVID-19 both at the national and state levels are considered the gold standard in forecasting the duration of the pandemic.
