WAITING FOR SUMMER

The prevailing winds over the past few decades have bent this tree over a picnic table at a private beach along Cranberry Lake in Oakland Township. Meteorologists say that climatologically speaking spring begins on March 1. With a little imagination, one can see picnickers, swimmers and boaters returning to this quiet place.
