PUBLIC NOTICE – CHARTER TOWNSHIP OF WASHINGTON ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Washington Township Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a Public Hearing on Monday April 7th, 2025 in the Board Room of the Washington Township Municipal Building located at 57900 Van Dyke, Washington Township Michigan 48094, beginning at 6:30 p.m. The purpose of this meeting is to consider an appeal by:

By reason of:

Washington Township Zoning Ordinance, Article 5.0 Site Standards, Section 5.1 Accessory Buildings and Structures B. Accessory Buildings in residential districts 4. Attached garages a. In R-1 and A-1 zoning districts, the maximum permitted square footage of an attached garage shall not exceed one thousand two hundred (1,200) square feet, or one-third (1/3) of the total square footage of the living area of the house, excluding basements, whichever is greater.

Purpose of request:

To request a variance, which if granted would allow the applicant to construct an attached garage that exceeds the total allowable square footage in the A-1 Zoning District by 380 square feet.
