Notice is hereby given that there will be a Public Hearing held before the Charter Township of Washington Planning Commission on Thursday, February 13th, 2025 at 6:30 p.m. in the Washington Township Municipal Building Board Room located at 57900 Van Dyke, Washington Township, MI 48094.
The purpose of this Public Hearing is to hear and receive comments related to the proposed text amendments and regulations in the Washington Township Zoning Ordinance summarized as follows:
Amendment of the Charter Township of Washington Zoning Ordinance, being Ordinance No. 138 of the Washington Township Ordinances, to provide regulations for permitting licensed tattoo and massage establishments within the LC, GC and V1 Zoning Districts and defining this use with a definition for Personal Care Service; amending Section 5.13.E. Natural Resource Protection, to provide clarity regarding the type of wetlands required to be preserved and required to provide a buffer; adding definitions for Wetland, Regulated Wetlands, Lake Shoreline, Natural Watercourse, County Drain, Drain, Pond, Lake, Stream, Irrigation Ditch; amending Section 5.12 Off Street Parking and Loading Requirements to move all parking provisions (RM-1; RM-2, Multiple Family District Regulations, Village Multiple Family, Yard Clipping Composting Facilities, Residential Vehicle Storage, Village District V-1 Parking Standards) into this section and updating Table 5.12.C Off Street Parking Requirements to include Personal Care Services, Multi-Tenant Commercial Buildings, drive thru waiting space count, yard clipping composting facilities and temporary construction trailers/sales trailers and repealing any and all Ordinances and/or Resolutions in conflict therewith.
