Notice is hereby given that the Charter Township of Washington Board of Trustees will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday January 15th, 2025 at 6:30 p.m. at 57900 Van Dyke, Washington Township, Michigan, 48094 in the Board Room at the Washington Township Municipal Building. The purpose of this public hearing is to obtain all views concerning community development and housing needs as required by the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended.
Washington Township will receive approximately Fourteen thousand Four Hundred and Thirty Dollars, ($14,430.00), in Community Development Block Grant funds for FY2025 from the Macomb “Urban County” Program, of which Three Thousand Dollars, ($3,000.00), is required to be set aside for the MCA CHORE program. Federal guidelines require that maximum priority be given to activities which primarily benefit low- or moderate-income families or which aid in the prevention or elimination of slums or blight.
Citizens residing in blighted areas or lower income persons are encouraged to participate. Arrangements to reasonably accommodate special needs, including handicap accessibility or an interpreter, will be made upon receiving a 72-hour notice.
