Jacob Mark Schirmer, 36, a lifelong resident of Romeo, died Thursday, Dec. 5, 2024 at Detroit Henry Ford Hospital. He was born June 27, 1988, the son of Mark and Lisa Schirmer.
He graduated from Romeo High School in 2007 and from Siena Heights University in 2014. He was employed by Cintas Corp, Kansas City, Mo. in fire protection sales. Jacob enjoyed time with family and friends and was an avid fan of University of Michigan football and the Detroit Lions.
Jacob is survived by his mother, Lisa (James); father, Mark (Jeannie); brother, Jason (Kelsey); grandmother, Betty Schirmer; grandmother, Karen Nicholas; and grandfather, Don (Kathy) Edwards; as well as many members of his extended family.
Preceding him in death are his grandfathers, Jim Schirmer and Larry Nicholas; and his uncles, Jim Schirmer and Rob Starr.
Visitation is planned for 2-8 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 10 at Henry Malburg Funeral Home, 11280 32 Mile Road, Romeo.
Visitation is also planned at the funeral home at 10 a.m., Wednesday Dec. 11 before internment.
Internment is at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 11 at the Romeo Cemetery.
