PUBLIC NOTICE – VILLAGE OF ARMADA SYNOPSIS OF UNOFFICIAL MINUTES FOR RCM 11/25/24

Pres. Coenen called meeting to order at 7:00 PM. Pledge of Allegiance recited. Council members present at roll call: Coenen, Clark, Boelke, Adair, Barzyk, Stirrett, and Shall. Also present: Clerk Poulos, Treasurer Porter, Kevin Grand, and Stacy Sobotka.

COUNCIL ACTION: Unanimously approved Agenda as presented. Heard and/or received; the DPW Report for October, 2024, Planning Commission Meeting Minutes of 10-21-24; verbal reports from Sewer Commissioner Stirrett, Planning Commission Liaison Shall, Water Commissioner Boelke, and Street Administrator Barzyk. Unanimously Approved the Consent Agenda as presented: RCM Minutes of 11/11/24 approved as presented; Payment of Bills totaling $19,014.77 as presented. Unanimously approved: to appoint Mike Shall as member ex-officio to the Village of Armada Planning Commission for a term ending November 25, 2026; to appoint Ross Boelke as member ex-officio to the Village of Armada Zoning Board of Appeals for a term ending November 25, 2026; to change the Regular Council Meeting date of December 9, 2024, to December 10, 2024, and to direct the Clerk to post; to confirm the President’s appointment of the following administrative officers for a two year period, expiring on November 24, 2026: Village Attorney – Jeffrey A. Bahorski, PLLC, Chief of Police – Richard Maierle, Superintendent of Public Works – David Wagner; to confirm the President’s appointment of the following officials for a two year period, expiring on November 25, 2026: Building Inspector – Ray Tuttle, Electrical Inspector – Tim Dillon, Mechanical/Plumbing Inspector – George Karl Ryan, Freedom of Information Coordinator – Michelle Poulos; to confirm the President’s designation of The Record as the official newspaper for publication of official notice for a period of two years, expiring on November 25, 2026; to adopt the resolution designating Amy Barzyk as the single Street Administrator for the Village of Armada in all transactions with the State Transportation Department as provided is ss13 of Public Act 51 of 1951 (MCL 247.663); to appoint Michael Shall as Park Commissioner for the Village of Armada, to a term ending November 25, 2026; to appoint Jo Adair as Police Commissioner for the Village of Armada, to a term ending November 25, 2026; to appoint Michael Stirrett as Sewer Commissioner for the Village of Armada, to a term ending November 25, 2026; to appoint Ross Boelke as Water Commissioner for the Village of Armada, to a term ending November 25, 2026; to appoint Stephen Clark as President Pro-Tem for the Village of Armada, to a term ending November 25, 2026; to allow the Police Chief to purchase a new patrol vehicle using Salvage Title Funds for a not to exceed amount of $46,216.00.
