NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Washington Township Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a Public Hearing on Monday December 2nd, 2024 at 6:30 p.m., at 57900 Van Dyke, Washington Township Michigan 48094 in the Board Room at the Washington Township Municipal Building. The purpose of this meeting is to consider an appeal by:

By reason of:
1. Washington Township Zoning Ordinance, Article 5.0 Site Standards, Section 5.12 Off Street Parking and Loading Requirements; D. Village district V-1 parking standards, 3. One (1) three-foot high decorative brick wall shall be constructed between parking areas located in the side yard and abutting public rights-of-way.
2. Washington Township Zoning Ordinance, Article 5.0 Site Standards, Section 5.12 Off Street Parking and Loading Requirements; F. Off-street parking space layout standards; 20. Reinforced concrete curbs, meeting the Washington Township Engineering Standards, and as approved by the Township Engineer, shall be required between all undeveloped areas and parking areas. The use of bumper blocks is prohibited.
Purpose of request:
1. To request a variance, which if granted would allow the applicant to not have to construct a three-foot-high decorative brick wall between the parking area located on the side yard that abuts West Road.
2. To request a variance, which if granted would allow the existing bumper blocks to remain throughout the parking lot in lieu of installing a concrete curb.
