Pres. Coenen called meeting to order at 7:00 PM. Pledge of Allegiance recited. Council members present at roll call: Clark, Boelke, Coenen, Barzyk, Adair, Shall, Stirrett. Also present: Clerk Poulos, Treasurer Porter, Jeff Bahorski, Kevin Grand, Curtis McBride, Amy and Chelsey (McBride Manley) and Stacy Sobotka.
COUNCIL ACTION: Unanimously approved Agenda as amended, removed New Business Item G: Resignation from Zoning Board of Appeals. Heard and/or received the Treasurer’s Report, the Code Enforcement Report, the Police Action Report for September, 2024; verbal reports from Street Administrator Barzyk, Water Commissioner Boelke, Planning Commission Liaison Shall, Sewer Commissioner Stirrett, President Coenen, and the Treasurer. Unanimously Approved the Consent Agenda as presented: RCM Minutes of 9/23/24 approved as presented; Payment of Bills totaling $56,183.86 as presented. Unanimously Approved: to accept the Audit for fiscal year ending March 31, 2024, and to place on file; to approve the purchase of two (2) ballistic body armor vests from On Duty Gear at a cost not to exceed $1,540.00; to approve the expenditure up to $1,500.00 for the implementation of the newly State mandated Police training for all of our Police Officers with the exception of our part-time officers that also work for other departments that completed the training at their other departments; to approve to Resolution adopting the interagency audio-visual recording standard mutual assistance agreement between the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office and the Village of Armada Police Department effective immediately upon adoption; to approve the budget amendment for Water Department Grants Received and Capital Outlay Expenditure (Lead Line Verification) as presented which brings the total estimated fund balance for the Water Fund from $124,916.36 to $134,436.36; to approve the resident letter and the license agreement and allow the Clerk to send to property address 75400 North Avenue Armada, MI; to accept the Auditor’s Engagement Letter and to allow the Village Treasurer to sign on behalf of the Village; to deny the Special Event Permit Application from the Armada Area Historical Society.
