Mildred L. Kish (Miron), 84, of Washington Township, died on Sunday, Aug. 18, 2024. She was born Sept. 20, 1939 in Detroit to the late Stephen and Mary Kish.
Mildred grew up on the east side of Detroit and held many fond memories of her younger years living on St. Cyril Street. A devote Catholic, Mildred was a longtime member of St. John and Paul Church in Washing Township.
Even after her retirement, she volunteered and helped the church in any way she could. Anyone who knew Mildred for a long time would remember in her younger years when she was defined by her ballroom dancing, in which she took much pride.
In more recent years, Mildred filled her time with travel and looked forward to her yearly “girl’s trips” that she would take with her family. Mildred also enjoyed her weekly chair yoga classes with her “lady friends” where they would share lunch and conversation together.
Looking back on her life, Mildred was very content with the family she built and memories she made with family and friends. Even in her hardest times, she remained positive and happy. She adored the staff at American House Sterling Heights, where she resided, and loved her visits with her sister-in-law “Joanie”.
She will be missed dearly by all who survive her.
She is survived by her children Gregory (Jamie) Urbanczyk, Donna (Gary) Rader, Linda (Dave) Groves and Lisa (Al) Meneghin; her grandchildren Michael, Sean, Chris, Bradley, Steven, Alex, Andrew, and Abbey; and her many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her siblings Irene, Gordon and Sue.
