To the Qualified Electors: NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the PRIMARY ELECTION will be held in Ray Township, County of Macomb, State of Michigan on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at the places of holding the Election in said township as indicated below.
Ray Township Election Day – Precincts 1 & 2 at Ray Township Hall, 64255 Wolcott, Ray, MI 48096
7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Ray Township Early Voting – Precinct 1 & 2 at the Washington Township Activity Center, 57880 Van Dyke, Washington, MI 48094.
Early Voting is Saturday, July 27 through Sunday, August 4 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily.
All precincts are handicap accessible. Voting instructions are available in alternative formats. Contact your Clerk’s office for details. Please note that you will be asked to show ID when you check in. If you don’t have one, you can still vote but will need to sign an affidavit of identity form if you do not have picture identification with you.
Accepted forms of identification: Michigan driver’s license or state ID, driver’s license or personal identification card issued by another state, federal or state government-issued photo identification, U.S. passport, Military ID with photo, student identification with photo from a high school or accredited institution of higher learning, Tribal identification card with photo.
AUGUST 6, 2024 – ELECTION DAY: THE POLLS of said election will be open at 7:00 a.m. and will remain open until 8:00 p.m. of said day of election.
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that you will be voting on nominating candidates for the offices of:
United States Senator, Representative in Congress, Representative in State Legislature, Prosecuting Attorney, Sheriff, County Clerk and Register of Deeds, County Treasurer, Public Works Commissioner, County Commissioner, Judge of Probate Court.
Ray Township: Supervisor, Clerk, Treasurer and Trustees (2) and Precinct Delegates.

Shall the Township of Ray, County of Macomb, Michigan, borrow the principal sum of not to exceed Five Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($5,500,000), and issue its unlimited tax general obligation bonds, in one or more series, payable in not to exceed twenty-one (21) years from the date of issue, to pay all or part of the cost of acquiring, constructing, furnishing and equipping a new fire station, including all site improvements, appurtenances and attachments? If approved, the estimated millage to be levied in 2024 is 0.9874 mills ($0.9874 per $1,000 of taxable value) and the estimated simple average annual millage rate required to retire the bonds is 0.9978 mills ($0.9978 per $1,000 of taxable value).

Please note Ray Township will be open Saturday, August 3, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to obtain an absentee ballot and to register to vote. Friday, August 2, 2024 is the last day an absent voter ballot can be mailed via First Class mail. On Monday, August 5, 2024 absentee ballots must be voted in person at the Clerk’s office up until 4:00 p.m.
