PUBLIC NOTICE – VILLAGE OF ARMADA SYNOPSIS OF UNOFFICIAL MINUTES FOR RCM 6/24/24

Pres. Coenen called meeting to order at 7:00 PM. Pledge of Allegiance recited. Council members present at roll call: Coenen, Clark, Boelke, Adair, Barzyk, Stirrett. Absent: Shall. Also present: Clerk Poulos, Treasurer Porter, Sam Boelke, Andrew Cubitt, Chief Maierle, Kevin Grand, and Stacy Sobotka.

COUNCIL ACTION: Unanimously approved Agenda as presented. Heard and/or received a DPW for May, 2024; the Planning Commission Meeting Minutes of 5/20/24, the F & V Operations Report for May, 2024, verbal reports from Sewer Commissioner Stirrett; President Pro Tem Clark; and Water Commissioner Boelke. Unanimously Approved the Consent Agenda as presented: RCM Minutes of 5/28/24 approved as presented; Payment of Bills totaling $20,818.71 as presented; approved to set a Public Hearing on an ordinance amending the Village of Armada Zoning Ordinance on Monday, August 12, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. and authorize the Village Clerk to publish notice of the Public Hearing in the Record. Unanimously Approved: to approve a $3.00 increase to Salvage Title Inspector’s compensation bringing the total to $56.00 per vehicle inspection effective immediately; to approve hourly wage rates effective for hours worked beginning the week of July 1, 2024, for current part-time Police Officers as follows: $22.50 per hour for part-time police officers having 6 months or less of service to the Village, $23.00 per hour for part-time police officers having 6 months but less than 1 year of service to the Village, $23.50 per hour for part-time police officers having 1 year or more of service to the Village; to accept the letter of resignation from Amy Barzyk from the Planning Commission effective immediately, with regret and to allow the Clerk to advertise this open seat; to adopt the resolution designating Amy Barzyk as the single Street Administrator for the Village of Armada in all transactions with the State Transportation Department as provided in ss13 of Public Act 51 of 1951 (MCL 247.663).Unanimously approved to adjourn the meeting at 8:33 p.m. A Complete text of minutes is available for public inspection at the Clerk’s office during regular business hours.
